Should have my L78 home in a week or so and wondered where I can get some 100 plus octane gas for her? Any help would be appreciated

WE've put about 21K miles on our L78 Chevelle since we bought it in '97. Works fine on 92-94 octane gas. Have the distributor set up with no more than 36 degrees total advance with the vacuum advance disconnected.

Hit your local small airfield, mix half&half with good pump gas and it will run fine, ran that ratio in my LS-6 boat motor and it ran fine,
they say it is formulated to run at high altitudes so not great to run 100% straight on the street. Bud. |

Mark: I usually have some 110 octane around, if your stuck let me know. If you are going to use a lot next season I can help you get a 45 gallon drum.

Don't know how it is in Canada, but we usually buy ours by the 55 gallon drum. That way you KNOW what you're getting, and you can make sure it doesn't draw moisture or whatever. It's usually cheaper that way as well.

Check with a local speed shop or with guys who race at Cayuga. They should know. There is a place in the west end of Toronto that supplies racers but I don't have a name.
