Call up Future Classics in Lakewood, N.J. See what they have. I think you can see them at www.futureclassics.com If you know you are buying a clone of anything it becomes a lot easier....Don't need any paper work and don't need anybody judging your car. Just how nice the resto is, that is all!

its really fun to watch all this going on around us. the muscle car market has gone crazy. you can buy a zl1 motor, i seen here in the forum, for 24k, find a decent plain camaro and install it, with some heavy duty goodies and there you have it "a zl1 clone" 50k in a car, at the most, and expect to get 100k out of it? please be for real. that guy selling that car should be whipped along with the person that buys it.

Geem I have to agree with you on this.....I think it would be wiser to buy a real COPO rather than a perfect ZL1 clone...I don't know which one would be more fun though.I have to think there is no way this car will ever fetch that kind of money. If it does....well I guess it does then ! Remember B/J...if someone likes it enough they will buy it I guess.

Buy a COPO and put a Zl1 in it and run the crap out of it. Best of both worlds. When the aluminum motor blows up put the iron one back in.

Now THAT'S funny! I also heard through the grapevine a certain "Stock Appearing" ZL-1 got a little rough with an '02 Phase III ZL-1. Something to the tune of 11.3@125+!! ![]() |
