For those into snowmobiles and drag racing. My local track, "ESTA" safety park Drag Strip in Cicero NY held it's third annual Pro Sled Shoot out last weekend. Teams from across the East and Canada came together in hopes of taking home the dough. In the end a new national NHRA record was established by Steve Wisnecki riding an Arctic Cat triple 900. He ran 164.471. For those that are not aware, NHRA recognized the Pro Sleds class about three years ago.
It's a class that is growing leaps and bounds. Will be huge in the years to come. http://www.estadrags.com/ Wacky174 ![]() |

If you've never seen snowmobile drag racing...it's a trip....especially when it's on a track and not snow !!!

The record Cat ran 8.38.. Driver knows he can run in the high 7's, I was told that safety is an issue. That weekend one sled lost it in the lights at 138.. Resulting in a dislocated shoulder and broken ankle.
It gets scary at those speeds. When that track hooks you better be holding on. Wacky |
