Default The "Other" War

The cultural war. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at these people. Caution::: there are photos of old nude hippies and other assortment of California weirdos. The comments below each pic are priceless. The fat klingon riding the golf car is one of the best.

Heck even here in California we avoid Berkeley at all costs. My wife won't even driven into that town on her own and that's where her hospital is.

California is another state, however Berkeley is on another planet!

I went through Air Force ROTC at UC Berkeley in 1983-87. We called it "The People's Republic of Berkeley." Our commander, Colonel Jerry Driscoll, was a Vietnam F-105 pilot and had spent over 7 years as a POW in the Hanoi Hilton with men like John McCain. Driscoll rode the BART train in daily from his home and would walk across the UC campus in full USAF dress uniform with seven rows of ribbons. Not one of the so-called 'student radicals' ever made so much as a peep toward Colonel Driscoll--no one dared. After 7 years of torture he wasn't about to take any $hit from some snot-nosed peaceniks.
