Probably just some old early BM conversion, with an early rivet on hood scoop, like Joel did in '67, with the stinger style hood, to a plane jane no frills street racer. Or maybe even a little known early '68 conversion by Harrell sent to one of his Florida connections? What is the vin and cowl tag read?

Good point... It never hurts to check these cars out a bit further before denouncing them as "nothing" the second you see the small block heater box. I'd bet there have been lots of rare cars unfound because no one ever dug a little deeper to verify what they may or may not have. You never know....

68,

--------Of course you could possibly be right. Its a stretch, but possible.
--------I can tell you from living in south Florida from 69 on and off till 76 that BM was sort of like the enemy. All my buddies felt like they could do better than the New Yawk boys. That, of course, doesnt mean that they could, only that they thought they could. As in all parts of the country back then some builders were better than others. Those guys names are the ones that still seem to pop up today. Ken Veney just ran out of his gas station on Oakland Park Blvd. for a long, long time, but,oh boy, could he make em run. And there were many others in South Fla. just like him. Some stayed with 4 wheels, alot sort of graduated to fast boats and never looked back. There was a bunch of money in fast boats back then, if you know what I mean. A friend of mine "Joe" went the boat direction and he had one of the biggest Corvette shops in the south. You should see some of the boats they built and rigged back in the day.
--------Where am I going with all this? I dont know. Just reminising, I guess. Hope you all dont mind!.........Bill S

Nothing wrong with boats...I went crazy and sold everything and went into Jet boats all the way in the early 90's...you could make them run hard and not get pulled over every other block and get a huge ticket...we have plenty of water out this way...it was a free for all for years then people started flipping them and other stupid stuff forcing the law on the water and things tightened right up..no more running around uncorked at 90...

A customer asked how much, while we were inside, I said "it's not mine but gimme 10K and it could be yours,".
The owner laughed & the guy pulled out a wad of cash & said "I'll give you 6K right now"!
The owner said "No way" & walked out.
Guess it's not for sale .
