Default V-8 Corvair

met a nice guy today..here is his fresh from the barn Corvair...story goes like this...car was built in 70 here in Wa by a Engineer and drove daily for years then just a fun car then sat for the last 13 years..nice clean install with a kit they sold back then..it has the cool fiberglass molded part for the buckets to set in there is a piece that snaps on behind it and goes to the back window..for a 1970 kit it looks really well built, forgot to snap a pic under the front hood..big ol 3 core there with two Fridge fans for cooling..and no bs it looks real clean and they keep the car cool..only thing he says he has to remember to shut them off on the freeway as the wind spins them to fast...check it out..he says when ya hit it hard it plants the rear down tight to the ground and flat out goes like stink..he is still getting used to the car but the previous owner/builder took him for a ride when he bought it and he is still talking about it....lol

Hey Bud...cool car...I think Crown made conversion kits real popular back then...there are still a very hardcore group of Corvair people out there and some very very good part sources..I still have some NOS Corvair parts including a dash clock...I can't remember the name of the parts place out east..I think in new England...I had a really cool Vair a few years ago, a turbo Spyder from Cal in my favorite 62 color...this V 8 must be scary
