Default Need a POP for your car???

This Ebay auction is selling new POPs as a novelty item. Looks like there will be a few more "documented" cars available soon.

These Have been around for Years. What do you think happened to all the POP Makers as well as the Tape?? They did not all end up in the Trash!! Fake Buildsheets are also not impossible. The technology employeed in manufacturing these items is "Grade school" at best compared to what is available today. the only way this situation is going to be corrected is when GM unlocks their Files. Plain and Simple. I recommend that everyone with a Car that has the potential to be Valuable, Do as much research into Past Owner History as Possible. My pursuit of Knowledge ended successfully and rather Quickly as MY COPO had not left a 50 mile Radius from day 1. Witnesses and Former Owners were Readily accessible and more than Happy to provide me with information. I believe a Class action Lawsuit should be launched at GM to get them to do the Right thing. Heck, with their Poor Quarterly earnings, They might actually be able to turn quite a profit on the endeavor. This would put an end to speculation on various Cars as well as these "Quick Buck" Artists, who only enable Bad people to get over on the unsuspecting Consumer.

I would think that little chevy Bowtie emblem would be enough for GM to step in and say leave it off the fake plates and that way when one turns up without it all would kjow its a fake POP
