Pinks on Speed Channel???

Anybody else watch that? Where do they get these guys? Are they compensated for their loss?? Do they know anything factual about the person they race or is it all word of mouth?? Sounds crazy to me.

I thought the show sucked last night

... That was the first time I had a chance to tune in and that really didn't impress me at all... After all that talk and racing the guy gives the other guy his car back??? Whatever?? I think I would have had more fun with my wife scrapbooking...

You are joking, right? Scrapbooking? I'd rather undergo a root canal.

Yeah, the show leaves a lot to be desired, but still the the heck out fo scrapbooking. It is pretty lame. Still, you have heard the saying "the worst day fishing beats the best day working." Well, in this case, the worst car related show beats the best day scrapbooking.

I don't like the whole "negotiating" aspect of the show. I do think they did the stand up thing giving the car back. After all, the guy did "win" the third race (when the Camaro just barely got off the line) which would have given him the Camaro, and then he agreed to "redo" the race.

So they both gave cars back.

BTW - Last nite's show was an exception. If you lose you lose your car.

I ran across a post by some guy that was involved in the show from the racing side, and he said it was ALL just showbiz...no cars *really* change hands, and all the bartering & bickering is for dramatic effect. Doesn't really look/feel like any money racing I've done...

That would figure. It makes for good drama but the negotiating leaves a little to be desired. I'd be trying to get a half track head start on a moped!
