Default Thoughts on this '71 Z28 RS

....especially from those that know their 2nd generation Z's. Any caution flags?

Looks very Nice and they even included the EEC Charcoal Cannister as built.
It deserves 4 Spiral Shocks.

It would be interesting to take an informal poll of other 71 Z owners over at Nasty Z28......but that eng assy date is TOO big a spread by 1970 Standards. I'd like to see a list of all other component dates before I offer my opinion.
Is anybody else surprised, how far, how fast these 70-71 Z-28 prices have come ?????? Incredible what we shoulda, coulda bought just a few years ago.......

Regards, Chuck

I guess it's down to what's important to you in a collector car, but if I was going to drop that amount on a second gen I would wait for a 70..If you're going to be bear,be a grizzly! JMHO

Not an RS,but I would opt for this one.especially if the miles are true-

Bogus replaced fan shroud is a tell tale sign of something fishy ??????? With no paper trail and REAL history, milage claims dont mean squat.......

I wouldn't be to concerned about the GM replacement fan shroud. Still and only thing available from GM in that form.

Appreciate the input thus far especially on the time gap. Sounds like 4 months would be a caution flag. As far as other thoughts/assumptions I would only mention ....

* Red Z seller will sell for less than published price in the ad. I have been in touch on this car for quite awhile.

* Spoke to the owner of the blue Z a couple of days ago. Also a nice Z but not as finished as the red one based on what I learned.

Yes, there is some truth to being a "grizzly".

The only thing that looks odd is the trim tag mounting holes. The blue one, who says that's the mileage?
