With this and the XXXXX on the Trim Tag on that SS396 Dusk Blue car in another thread....could it be possible that the numbers gang holder was to be X'd out each time it was used?
I mean was the person using the tool trained to remove each set of VIN or part #'s after each hit so as to not repeat the last set of numbers? and place the X back into the tool? Or in this case, with this 480 housing, was the tool an 8 postion tool; having the X to fill the end of the spacing in the tool? I have never seen this tool used to stamp these, whether it was for deck pad, side block, distributor housing, trans housing, etc etc....???? ![]() |
