Default '68 Fred Gibb COPO Nova

One of only 50 built and 16 known to exhist according to copo.com
This is the #21 Nova & is Grecian Green. 1 of 4 known in this color. Documents include:
An original Fred Gibb letter 'to whom it may concern' and a copy of a Gibb letter to 'Mr John Hooper' who also owned the car. Some owner history, mostly in Iowa. Original owner still around, but unfortunately doesn't have any vintage pic's...he does have some great storys to tell about it though
Also have the '1968 Chev new vehicle inspection & adjustment schedule' checked & signed by a Gibb technician for delivery.
This rare Nova is very solid, but in need of further restoration. The body work requires very little to finish, engine, trans & rear are done & so is the interior with the exception of a few minor things. I suspect $15-20K will finish it.
It does not have the orig drivetrain, but does have it's hidden vin #'s
Please note that if my Camaro sells first, this car will no longer be offered for sale & I will complete the restoration. Just need to sell one car this yr!
I do not have digital pic's yet, but will have some regular photos at SCR9.
Since this is my last Gibb Nova, I may be willing to part with an original Fred Gibb racing shirt with the deal. But, do not hold me to this at this time as it has a lot of sentimental value.
I'm pricing this about where you might price a Yenko deuce, but I personally believe they are more rare & desirable(we can argue about this later) Asking $130K or best offer

sounds like a cool ride...this might be a stupid question but consider the source. Are Gibb COPO Novas 427's or LT-1s?

Lowering the price to $125K. Can be ready by next yrs Gibb reunion. These Novas hardly ever come up for sale!

I'm not a buyer...but wish I was! .
Sounds great though, no pics you can share yet? .
What eng, trans, rear have you got w/ it now and do you know what happened to the orig. E3 and when it went astray? .
Best of luck w/ the sale!

PS - I'd really like to see a pic of the Gibb shirt too! .

No, Helen still owns the Fathom Blue, #50 Nova. This is a twin to Annie Hartweg's COPO Nova- April 2005 Feature Car
