Default eBay 68-72 A-body Post car Door Panels

You gotta' read the auction text but it appears this guy has a set of Post car front Door Panels available to whoever wins the rear quarter trim? .

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/68-72-HO-...1QQcmdZViewItem

Even though they'd need to be redone for Chevelles, considering how tough it seems to be to find anything in these I thought I'd beter post this. .

Good hunting Andy, thanks for the link.

I emailed this to Bob Chaisson who recently put a request in the "Parts Wanted" section. The backs won't work for his 69 Velle, but maybe he can get the fronts.

- I knew the rears were no good for the 'Velles but being tough to find anything in fronts, when I read the eBay ad I thought there must be someone around here who's needy...good luck! .

And Don, I've been in touch with that guy from the old days and think I've got a swap happenin' for that M.D. helmet I told you about...he's gonna' trade me for a set of 185x14 radials on Cavalier rims!!! .

Yes Thx Don , I emailed him right away but he had sold the door panels the week before !!! Man that was close. Anyhow thx a bunch for thinking of me. I got my seat samples from SMS out of the states, looks really really good. Any idea on how much material a guy needs to do both benches ? I'm thinking 3-4 yds of the pattern,2yds black, 1yd of white ?? Thx Bob

I hear ya Bob. About three or four years ago I missed a set of the door panels by "that much"

This would be my recommendation for the fabric:
- 8 yards of the basketweave for the eight seat inserts.
- 8-10 yards of the plain Black. Remember, you have the entire back of the front seat, all the sides, the centers and all the lower front on both.
- 1 yard of White should be fine.

I have no experience in estimating how much is really needed to do something like this, but I would rather have a little extra than have to go back and order more just in case the fabric run would not be quite the same. Good luck buddy.
