Haven't you played on a dyno, slower power means bigger power...

Oh, damn - must be time to recalibrate my ears again!

Explain to me this whole "slower power" therory, just in case. I keep looking at all my in-car camera footage and watching the tach, no wonder those other guys have so much power. My car revs too quick! Gotta get me one of them tachs that slows down the motor, or, maybe a 6.1 Hemi with a blower?

You can cheat up the HP if you accelerate the dyno slower...ie, use a 300 rpm/sec accell rate versus a 600 rpm/sec rate...won't make a ton of difference, but it's equivalent to skewing the SAE or atmoosphere #s. On the SuperFlow I've played on you can set the accell rate to your liking, turn over the control to the computer, mat the throttle, and it will accellerate it at the set rate...

That Mope did have a lazy tach, though...but Colin, keep spinning those toys of yours tight, 'cause RPM is still a main function in the HP formula!

Ahhh- I learn something new every day. And I thought all guys played with were the correction factors on dynos...amazing how much HP you can add by just clicking the mouse a few times. Gotta love technology!
