Default 87 Buick Grand National Value?

Anyone care to take a resonable guess at the current market value of an 87 Buick Grand National that was bought new and driven 12 miles home to be covered in a climate controled garage. The car has been started on a monthly basis and still shows 12 miles on the clock with all original doc's. I would like to have some idea to start negotiations with the original owner who has decided to sell due to health issues. Any input would be apprieciated.
Thanks,

Make sure it doesn't have any issues I've seen cars like this that have had paint work and moisture problems. If it checks out I would say 35-40 depending on options. If you want to turn it give me a shout. Thank's Mark

good answwer Mark. These cars were known for paint issues but if yours has been covered in a dark garage I'd say it shoudl be perfect.. Be careful about oil leaks too.If this car is a leak free one(usually not the case from sitting)then you have a winner. Marks about right on value too. If you want to hook up with all the TR(turbo regal) boards let me know and Ill point you in the right direction. Is it an early or late build car??

I picked up an 87 Grand National last year , 4,800 orig miles ,30 miles from where I grew up. The car has every bit of paperwork, bill of sale, oil chaqnge receipt, original everything .Orig wheels & tires were taken of the car at 300 miles, wrapped in plastic. The car has had 42 oil changes in 20 yrs ( every 250 miles)the guy was Fanatical !!anyhow I paid about $27,500 US for the car so $35-$40 sounds like a pretty good value for the car. There only orig once!!.Good luck , Bob

Frank,
The car was one of the last built. The owners family owned the Buick dealership it came from.
Thanks,
Bob

I also have of the last builds. I bought it new in Feb 88. One of the last two cars available in Denver. It had been stashed away by the service manager. He was the uncle of a good friend. I ended up getting the car with 16 miles on the ticker for $13.5K. I saved all the docs also. It is a great car with 77K now. The car runs 13.7 stock in the thin air if Bandimere. I plan to hold on to mine.

Cool...love the GN's & GNX's! .

About '88/'89 I was working weekends for Mosport when the new oval track opened and I was given the 'job' of driving the Pace car...a chipped GN! .

Multiple test laps were of course necessary to get the 'hang' of things...can you smell the rubber yet?!.

The only problem I had with the whole deal was feeling guilty accepting the money they'd hand you at the end of the day for doing it!!!.
