6 Charged With Plot on Army Base in N.J.

FORT DIX, N.J. (AP) -- Six men described by federal prosecutors as "Islamic militants" were arrested on charges they plotted to attack the Fort Dix Army base and "kill as many soldiers as possible," authorities said Tuesday.

The six were scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Camden later Tuesday to face charges of conspiracy to kill U.S. servicemen, said Michael Drewniak, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in New Jersey.

Officials said four of the men were born in the former Yugoslavia, one in Jordan and one in Turkey. Five of them lived in Cherry Hill, 10 miles east of Philadelphia and 20 miles southwest of Fort Dix, Drewniak said.

"They were planning an attack on Fort Dix in which they would kill as many soldiers as possible," Drewniak said.

A law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity because documents in the case remain sealed, said the attack was stopped in the planning stages.

Authorities believe the men trained in the Poconos for the attack and also conducted surveillance at other area military institutions, including Fort Monmouth, the official said. The official said that the men had lived in the United States for some time.

The six were arrested trying to buy automatic weapons in a sale set-up by law enforcement authorities, the official said.

They need to link them all together with a chain way out in the Nevada desert!also linked to the chain is a "VERY LARGE" bomb that is set to explode in 2 minutes.So they have 2 minutes to difuse the bomb and become legal US CITIZENS or become part of the Nevada desert!We will see how sharp there bomb skills really are! Just look at the $$$ we would save in housing them,feeding them and going to court with them.A "VERY LARGE BOMB" should not cost nearly as much!

Instead of focusing on the real threat we are wasting resources shaking down grandmas. Case in point, yesterday I had to endure TSA. I arrive at the airport, my flight is delayed and I am issued a ticket on another airline. Since my reissued ticket is a "same day, one-way purchase" it has SSSS in the lower right corner. Great I am going to get security screened now. I am also an Active Duty 24 yr Officer in the Air Force, just returned from Iraq a few months ago. I get the full body cavity search while at the same time a number of foreigners cruise right by. What a waste of resources, TSA is a joke. The terrorists must have a good laugh at the group of overweight, half asleep, rude, TSA employees putting on the show of "protecting" the public. Ever looked at the guys loading the food service carts onto the planes, how do you think the next weapons will be loaded. Why go thru the semi-protected front door when you you can walk thru the wide open back door by greasing a few palms. At the same time for the 15th time in the 30 mins I've been there the PA system anounces the Homeland Security Threat level has been raised to "orange", how many people have a clue what that means. We are going to suffer another attack down the road because we are Politically Correct, can't racial profile, the ACLU would have a field day. I used to like to travel, now I hate it and as soon as I retire I will go by car, or fly myself as much as possible. Thanks for listening to my rant!

Or 10-Year Girls. My daughter went to St. Louis last year for a week by her-self, and we took her to the gate. Yep you guessed it. Shoes off, etc ect.
