Default date coding

Opinions needed, if you had an Chevy BB 512 block cast date of early feb 70, engine build date of mid April, what would appropriate (acceptable) head cast dates be.? would you use a head closer to the build date of the engine or to the cast date of the block.? Looking at a block in the area with some heads on the side.Thx

Default Re: date coding

That's such a close range that either would be fine.
