There were a couple of original curved neck auto rads on ebay a couple of months ago. The restored one had a starting bid of like $750 with no takers.
The guy with the unrestored one wanted $650. |

Barry, Is the upper hose neck straight, or bent? Nuch [/ QUOTE ] Steve I often wondered if the curved neck tanks used on the 68/69 BBC trucks were the same tanks you guys are always looking for. I know they don't have the brackets soldered to them but they do have the curved necks and are both 3 and 4 core.If the tanks are the same fitting the brackets would not be a big deal. I have a couple out of trucks. I know I have sold a few of the BBC truck air cleaners to guys who said they needed the snorkels to do a repair on the rare dual snorkle set ups or in my mind build a nice clone.Like to see some pictures of what you guys need so I can compare if possible. I am talking original chevrolet 1/2 ton BBC trucks like this one I have not parted yet. ![]() |

I wanted to see a picture of the bent or curved inlets that the guys are always looking for to see if by any chance GM used the same tanks on the old BBC chevy trucks ledd the mounting brackets used on the camaro. The truck inlet has a very pronounced bend in it and the tanks other than they don't have the brackets look a lot like what you posted. I am trying to see what the bent or curved inlets look like. take care Joe |
