John, you and your Dad are truly what is "right" about this hobby.
So many people in this day and age, would have literally held something like that original dealer material, for ransom. Through your detective work, the car went from having no documentation other than gossip and a broadcast sheet, to the mother lode of paperwork. And I do remember that day, back in 1990 when I was working for Musclecar Review, when you tracked me down and mailed me the entire package, out of the blue. That was right after the car was in the November, 1990 issue. ![]() ![]() And you know what is really scary? The storyline I used for that article was just a fantasy of what I thought it must have been like to buy that car back in 1970. It's bizzare how close I was to the real, actual story that I later learned from you and your Dad. Cue the Twilight Zone theme...again! And now that I think of it, I should have trademarked the term "DAY TWO," since as far as I can recall, that was the first time the term appeared in print. And I got all sorts of grief for using it as the title since the magazine powers-that-be didn't think anyone would understand what I meant.
