Nickey sign

I don't think I've shared this but thought some may appreciate it. I made this sign for dad for Christmas a handful of years ago. It started out as a simple idea but ended up a MAJOR project with only weeks to do it. I intended for it to be smaller but for some reason I thought I'd go just a little bigger. I didnt factor the lights and everything else in so needless to say it is really heavy. I don't have all the pictures available of every step but you can get the general idea. The best was when he unwrapped it. He really liked it but then we handed him the photo album showing every step. He didn't realize it was made by me until he got to the picture of my son who was 9 at the time learning to paint and masking it off for the layers of color and clear. He was speechless.
