I miss a few days and another page with the story of my Chevelle shows up.
The car hasn't changed much from 1995 when I restored it except for the wheels. My plan was to show the car with stock wheels and run Cragars part time just for fun. Unfortunately someone stole the original wheels/tires and that is why the Cragars are still on it. A Hurst shifter was also installed around 1996. I enjoy driving my car on short trips and just couldn't stand the Muncie shifter. It's now in a box in the attic. The engine is the same one Chevrolet installed in 1969. When it was rebuilt it was suggested that the block be decked. I made sure that didn't happen so the numbers are still there. I still see the second owner and his brother several times a year and they still love to tell stories of when they raced "their" Chevelle.
