could it have been that if after one of these MV's got sold by the dealership, that law enforcement could determine that it was not a stolen engine if found in say a '55 Chevy that was under their radar? </div></div>
I don't think that was the reason, I believe they were coded differently for 'export' with a special carb as part of the 'Excalibur' project...
