While maybe not a "supercar", the Players Challenge cars were as close as you got in the 90's.
The 1LE's are to cast iron COPO's as the 7RU is to ZL1's. Only +/- 30 made in 92 (plus 5 Trans Ams). I *think* I remember somewhere that you had to have a SCCA license to get one, and they were basically street legal racecars for the Canadian Players Challenge race series for GM cars. This one is the Sunoco sponsored car. While I am generally not a fan of the 90's cars, these 7RU cars are cool and a "last run" until recent history with the new supercar wars.
