Ready for launch!!
The body is now on the shop rotisserie, I also lowered the body so I can block it up on the truck. I get nervous transporting the car in pieces. I removed the cowl seal, screen, wipers and arms, and the lower trim off the windshield. The metal under the trim is spectacular, I was concerned that would be a MAW, but A-OK. The shop has a booth at Motorama car show in Toronto so they are away for the weekend. Al Corporon got to meet them :-) I needed to get prepared. I have been trading E-Mails with Lynn Stager to arrange a visit, most likely next week. She has searched and found the Ayr County Garage Shop Foreman that helped Al Stager order and maintain the car from new. I hope he is chatty!!! I also hope he can steer me towards some more dealer memorabilia. I want a dealer tag so bad. I have made a weird purchase, Dan tells me daily I am crazy:-) so be it!! I have a rear half of a 1969 Black rubber floor mat and a front and rear 1967 tan rubber mat bought.... yes my car came with carpet.... is this correct nope.... is it my car..... yup.... to appease the paint daubers I bought a half used half new black carpet. This is all to allow me to put the car together with a very Stock vibe and then upgrade it with my various shifters.... original Hurst, Competion Plus, Street Super, and RamRod :-) Whew... thumbs are sore :-) Ryan
