73 Ambassador Police Car
When was the last time you saw one of these??
Very cool. Old 1973 AMC Ambassador 401. Restored Cleveland, Ohio PD car. The Impact Unit was established to deter crime in high crime areas of the city and consisted of 120 guys. Very cool history on this car. The interior is flawless. The computer is an actual one from the era. Cleveland was one of the first departments in the country to have computers in police cars. These cars were fast but had issues braking quickly. The color is citron green which was a color picked by the federal government for the Cleveland cars designed for high visibility. The slogan on the door, Our men serve all men, had to be removed in 1974 due to female officers on the job assigned to patrol cars. Very politically incorrect by today's standards LOL.. Rich
