Default 1969 Z Carb Date

I just purchased a X77 RS the engine is a CE DZ302. The carb is incorrect on car and I would like to put a correct 4053 on it but how important is date on a non numbers car? I can get a new service replacement 4053 for 1000.00, or a 934 date 4053 car is a 04C for a little more after rebuild. What would help the value of the car in your opinions?
