Hey Gang, I came across this very cool, and unusual item this week.
Not really sure what it is, other than the obvious, which may be just what it looks like, a glass dish or tray, doubt it's an ashtray... It's gilded, not sure if it's 24k, but maybe. Looks like two color stencil that is applied on the top / inside surface, blue is the second color. Does not look scratched or anything, and likely never used. I did show a close up of some what appears to be extra enamel on the outside, from a factory mistake? not sure. The glass itself is perfect. This is a cool man cave or bar item, keep your cough drops or candies or keys in it. The Coach Crest is cool and very detailed. It's doubly cool as it is from Van Nuys, California - where, of course, some of our Camaros and Firebirds were assembled. It's heavy-ish and certainly sturdy, about 1/4" smoked gray glass - think those headlight covers on your 1987 IROC... that color. I'd keep it, but glass doesn't seem to do well in our house. It's is exactly 6"x5" and 1" tall. So, reluctantly, I'm offering it here. PM with questions, or if you know what this is please. I cannot find any comps. Was it a giveaway? An award? Part of a set? An office supply? Business card holder? What? Cheers friends, Anthony |
