SCAM ALERT: AFRICA
I was e-mailed about some parts for sale and he wanted to send a check for 5,000 over the amount, purportedly from a "client" and send him the cash to Africa via Western Union.
The Red light went off when he emailed and said his wife was in the hospital and needed $$, when I implicitly stated that the check has to clear. I didn't lose out, but I want to report this to fellow auto buffs. There are enough jerkoff's in this hobby that we have to contend with. I don't consider this bashing, I consider this courteously informing, so watch out for any interest in cars or parts you have from South Africa..............Joel
