Default Re: New to the hobby

Hi Jim, Welcome to the board. Obviously you have owned many FAST cars. I know what you mean, American Muscle is tried and true Americana! Have you ever considered maybe you and your kids as a project restoring or fixing up a 60's muscle car and calling it a family project? To really appreciate this hobby and complete satisfaction of owning one of these cars is doing a project at least once. You can find cars in all stages of needing help. Imagine the wife and kids at the car shows with you and knowing they had at least something to do with their car. You could get plenty of opinions here and it would be rewarding to do. If you work in an office, this can be therapy! It is fun hunting down parts and cutting deals. I suggest a 1969-70 nova big or small block, a nice 1966-71 GTO, any year chevelle. Doesn't have to be a big block car. How about a nice L79 car. 327-350hp. Good luck and the main issue is to have fun. Sam
