You're right about it being too bad Chevrolet never offered a ball bearing distributor in a production piece , be it an aluminum housing or the cast version as these were rugged units. Would have been cool even if Chevrolet offered T.I. in the LS6 as when I spin one of these on my old Sun distributor tester, they are pretty impressive! No point scatter to worry about.

Actually, the magnetic pulse transistorized distributor set-up was standard equipment on an LS6; 1971.
