Received this photo today from one of Tibor's neighbors...they are digging out one of Ken's cars...so it will be ready for him when he returns from the tropics

Very cool...as an aside...when we drove to Mammoth that year to ski (as we had done at least 30 times before that...and knew the drive like the back of my hand)...we actually figured out that we had missed the exit due to the excessive snow when we saw Mono Lake which was 29 miles past our turn off at Hwy 203! The drifts were 30+ feet high...

This is the kind of snow that was there...usually this lift (Chair 14) has a 50+ foot drop to the ground

Here's the trail map showing Chair 14 (been on it many times)

Current Mammoth picture

Mammoth Trail map...chair 14 is to the far right...

This spot was about 10 miles from my dad's place when he lived in Bishop. This picture is on Hwy 395 heading towards Bishop and away from Mammoth...cool photo from surfinside.com

They've still got electicity...

I heard on the news that the meal packets that FEMA was handing out contained "tainted" peanut butter...sounds about par for the course, as the load of water we hauled for FEMA for the victims of the ice storm here was well past the "do not drink" date...!
