Dan,
I have several hundred photos of Interstate/Minnesota Dragways and Northstar Dragways and will look and see if I have any of this car.

He was at both almost every weekend until they closed up. I was too young to remember much, but he mentioned that the track schedules were a little different - so on a weekend they could hit both of them. Something like one had eliminations earlier and they could get down to the other track in time. If you find some, that would be great. He'd love it if I showed up with some old track pics. He has very fond memories of both those tracks. The ashtray still has a bunch of old timecards sitting in it. The nhra number on the windows was 5296 and I remember that the headlamps were painted green back then as well. |

Sorry guys, I went through all the photos and only had a few more recent shots. The rest of the old photos must be down at my dad's. That is where I always thought they were - not sure how the one oddball ended up in my collection. The next time I go down there I'll scan them and put them up.

Man I love that car; reminds me of a Rallye Green SS that was on the cover of Car Craft back in the late '70's early '80's. It sat just like your Dad's, had Cragar SS mags and you could see the white headers peeking out from under the car...............priceless.
Thanks for sharing the pictures with us; car looks great. |

Here is the last batch. This is the stuff he had in a folder. Pretty cool for the guys that are into the original/survivor stuff.
There are still 2 more dealer shots and a few shots from MN Dragways - He said he'd poke around for em, but this is it for a while. We didn't spend too much time looking as I don't get down there as much as I'd like, so catching up was the priority. Front dealer shot: ![]() Another rear dealer shot: ![]() The window sticker from the car: ![]() The actual checklist he and the salesman went through: (Station wagon checklist is on the back side) ![]() ![]() The sales brochure he looked at when choosing between a Camaro or a Nova: ![]() And last - the brochure he went to get after receiving the "John Deere" letter from his father and did nothing to ease his fears about the color. He said he picked the color from a picture of a car on the cover of National Dragster. After the letter from his father and this brochure, he was pretty worried it wasn't going to look like what he expected. It is hard to tell from the scan, but the color on this brochure, definitely looks closer to Deere green than the actual color of the car. ![]() |

It looks like it had wheel trim rings on the window sticker. I think that would be Copo style hubcaps with trim rings. Never seen those trim rings ordered on a Camaro before...Cool.

I noticed earlier the residue on the trunk lid from the sticker. That had to be a thorn in your dad's side to see that after they took it off.

Dan was nice enough to send me pics of the tail panel of his Dad's Camaro. Per Dad the tail panel paint is orig. It looks gloss to me.
