You are welcome.
The biggest problem with sites such as that, like magazines, books and other such media, they are read only, which means the only information printed is whatever the author writes, which can be 100% correct, 100% wrong, or anywhere in between. This versus our site, which has an open forum, where opposing opinions can be, and often, are expressed. IMO, that is what makes this site so special, as when it comes to rare musclecars, the wealth of knowledge and the willingness to share that knowledge on here is second to none.

In the latest Old Cars Weekly magazine, someone sent in a correction in their Q&A and referenced the site. The editor then elaborated some more on the Yenkos, even suggesting that just over 1000 Yenko Camaros were built. I recognized it as incorrect, as that's the estimated total for ALL L-72 Camaros. They also got the hp rating wrong, which I noticed came from the referenced site.
I sent in a correction and referenced this site, so let's see if they print the correction. |

Diego, that web site was put up in the mid-90s. The guy who put up the site has never changed it. I haven't looked at it for years, and find it hard to believe that the site is still up. I was running Windows 95, with a 28k modem, when I first found it.
Has not changed since then.

Hello,
New member here! Trying to find information on 1969 Yenko Camaro on web and your site looks good so here I am. We have a 1969 Camaro Yenko in our family. My sister and her husband are the owners but I am the only one who drives it. I am looking for information on it. It is fun to drive and is fast. Does anyone know where I can get a Yenko brochure or 69 Chevrolet Camaro brochure as I will buy one. Thanks, Kirk |

No Yenko brochures I know of for '69, but several cool flyers, ads, etc. Originals are rather hard, and expensive to come by, but repops can be found on Ebay, among other places. Here is a neat ad for '69.
![]() IMO, your best bet is Bob McClurg's newly released book on Yenko.

Tom,
Thanks for the information. I think that I have a lot to learn on this car. My sisters car looks like the one on the front of the book that you suggest except for the wheels are different. Thanks again, Kirk |
