Mark's post above reminded me just last week I was telling my wife about Eddie Albert (yes of Green Acres) when we saw him on a TV show..
Although some here do, most don't know how Eddie deserves far more fame for service to his country in WW2 than acting!.
Eddie unselfishly and repeatedly went beyond the call of duty when others wouldn't and single handedly saved something like 50 men!.

RIP Eddie

PS - Must've missed MJ's posting on the Woodward book..
I want to read it...and Smokey's book too!!!

"Hitler's Suppressed and Still-Secret Weapons, Science and Technology" by Henry Stevens.

Great book for anyone interested in Nazi technology during WWII. Touches on almost everything. Just finished it.

If you want some real insight into the middle east, I highly recommend "From Time Immemorial" by Joan Peters.

http://www.amazon.com/Time-Immemorial-Ar...ader_0963624202

This book is getting old now, it was first released in 1984.
It should be required reading for anybody who questions Israel and why we should never trust the Arab world.

I read about a book a week and more often than not are factual WW2 or other war stories including Nazi Holocost stuff..
The best are often from Pilots shot down who spend the rest of the war in prison camps or fighting w/ the resistance..
Currently I'm into an espionage book that's been a hard read through the early days of Egypt etc but getting good now!.

Hi Pete;
If you're into the WWII escape stories try UNDER THE WIRE, a true story about an aviator, the name of the novel gives you an idea of the subject matter. Enjoy.

Regards
Cal
