1968 Nova SS came with 14 x 6 XF wheels...Rallyes were optional. The std wheel would have been 14 x 5 for the base cars...if the glove box sticker calls out 14 x 6....most likely an SS car.

It doesn't sound like anything was available through the NCRS. Looks like tracking the complete owner history may tell the tale. Are there better pics of the car?

wilma </div></div> I was reading my post on this and offer a correction...the glove box sticker will have a tire size sticker with tire pressure info, not the wheel size. So...if the sticker calls out E70 x 14 tires...that would be a good clue to the SS option. wilma

Maybe I have missed something in the explanation of the nova, but #354271 seems to be correct for a June built Nova? What number, if any, would this #369658 match up with on the nova being discussed? It seems a bit confusing? I believe that the VIN# shown on the Harrell sticker, would have to be on a later date car built the first week of July 1968? The number on the sticker is only 1 digit after the #4 Fred Gibb nova's built the first week of July 1968? VIN# 114278W369657 is the VIN number for the #4 Gibb car, which was a Tripoli Turquoise.

![]() Wow if Fred Gledhill and tough to find a more serious performance dealer than that! Drag racer Tom Jacobsen worked there also Clippinger salesman Bob Wingate ordered Garner's Corvette '68 AIR Team L88's through Gledhill so lots of action happening around there! There's Gledhill plate frames on eBay as below also lots of past threads here w/ Gledhill stuff including this one w/ some awesome Jacobsen '67 Camaro pics Jon M. posted... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...236&page=1 ~ Pete eBay Plate frame... http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Fred-Gledhi...e-/121126070254 ![]()
