I think the "C" on the muncie case has been stamped. I thought the assembly plants began stamping the letter for trans designation around December 1968.
My 69 Z-28 10C build date tranny has an assembly date of P9P16 or September 16th 1968 with no letter stamp. My other 69 Z-28 with an 01B trim tag build date has the trans stamped with the letter designation.
