Disc brakes
67/68 Camaro Disc Brake set up: I'm seeking an original set of the pins that go through the top of the disc brake calipers, that hold the pads in, that are the gold zinc (iradite) plating color.
I see them on the repop sites and they are listed as the gold coloring, but when I've ordered two sets now they show up as regular steel coloring (really not sure what is correct as well because I haven't found a source, pic, thread, etc. to verify what is actually correct). The repops also have the rounded head and from what I can summize, the originals had flat heads. Anyway, if you have an available set for my application I'd be interested in them for sure. Or, if you have just some info. on what is correct original, or even pics, I'd really like to see those as well. Thanks for any help. Shane |

There are others on the site that are more knowledgeable than I, but is that pin the same as 65-82 Corvette's?
Perhaps check with Rich....... https://originalgmhardware.com/ |

The original pins are around .960 in dia and the repos are around .930. The head is different
then the originals like you said. If you have the pads, they they should be in there. The cotter pins are silver. (Originals) The Repo ones I have are from Heartbeat City. The repos are gold plated as stated, these are my spares. Dave 67 Nova Boy |
