As far as not seeing it around, it was in his garage in Hoffman Estates with blankets on it for what I remember a leaking front brake Caliper since the mid 90's and never got around to sending them out be be sleeved in Stainless Steel. I purchased all his NOS 1966 Impala parts he had collected for his Super Sport 283 Impala he never restored from his Widow. This is the finest 1967, no stories Impala on the Planet, Barr None. Good luck with the sale. I hope it goes to a worthy caretaker. Bill |

I knew Hank since 1989, when I moved in across the street from him in Schaumburg. I still live there today, so the car hasn’t gone very far yet. He told me about the car on many occasions, but I never did see it when he was alive. It truly is unfortunate he didn’t get to enjoy it again later in life. He really cherished this car. You are correct about the leaking caliper. Actually every seal in the entire brake system was shot after sitting all those years. I rebuilt and replaced every seal in the brake system. Everything on the car now works as it should. Like a step back to 1967!! Mike |
