Thanks DJD for the reply, but what Im really interested in is weather any of the supercars had a 6 cyl vin, I know its not a yenko, they were not made for 68, but did any of the harrell, gibbs, or nickey cars have the 11327 vin no's. I have quite a collection of great chevys, ranging from 67 chevelle SS, 69 chevelle SS 69 Z-28, 69 Z-11, 78 Vette, 73 RS/Z, And this great looking chevy II, the chevy II is going to be my play toy, but as you can see, none of my other chevys will get me in to a supercar event, and I do travel quite a bit with my other cars, The chevy II is just a toy, but if it is something to show off at the supercar reunion, Then I will be there also. I did not buy it with any intentions of a supercar, it was after I bought it, that I found the build sheet, and thought it was odd, I do have to put a motor in it, and I have a very nice 68 427, not the orginal motor, but it will look great in the car. The car is already set up for a big block, springs, heatercore, and 4 core radiator, it came like that, so A big block would be the ticket for this car. But Im not trying to clone anything.

This is starting to sound like some kind of factory freak. According to the Chevrolet sales literature, the four speed transmission was not available with a six cylinder engine. But I guess that the parts would fit together, so it could have been built. I would love to see a copy of that build sheet. The only build sheets that I have ever found in Novas are the Fisher body sheets. The one that you have described is an assembly division build sheet.

It would be great if you could post a picture of the build sheet. Very interesting car you have.

The answer to your question about the gibb novas is all 50 cars were factory 396 cars 11427 #s I dont think Fred would have ordered a 6 cyl car for conversion. I have looked for a build sheet for a 68 car for 15 years. I have part of one. would love to a complete one . Kim Howie
