Default ring gear codes

What number should be on the ring gear of a COPO Camaro? My car has the number 3916226..

Ronnie, I heard back from someone that has a memo they got from CRG that shows reference to that part # for the ring gear for the COPO rear. I asked Jerry MacNeish about it because he didn't have any reference to it in his book, but he didn't know. I'll shoot you an email after work.

That'a a good question for Stefano. He has some good digital shots of an original low mile rear, less cover.

my book says 3917971 for heat treated 4:10 should be dated and numbered along with ratio 10-41 on both pieces. Tim.

The part number for the 4.10 set was 3917971.
The ring and pinion part numbers are as follows:
3916226 Ring Gear 3916228 Pinion Gear
Case part number was 3916234
