Charley,
I don't think it's even been confirmed that there is a difference--I would check first before I shined my shoes.

Charley,
Seriously--for the car buff it is a nice find---had a bad day today so ---I looked up Shinola --it seems it was a very bad smelling shoe polish in liquid form --hence the phrase "Don't know the difference between S&#$T and Shinola"[TRUE]----that's about it----- and I still feel like Shinola!!-----JoeG

It was a Gift from Matt Berger and Dennis Barker. Matt said his Grandfather was in charge of all the Promo items. This is maybe from the 50's ? On the back of the Shinola cans it says it is a Product of Best Foods... Wow...

Charley,
Like I said , it is a nice car-buff find/gift. I guess I'm still having a bad day--just made an informative search on the polish--did not intend to diminish the gift-----anyway that thing about Best Foods is leaving a brown/black taste in my mouth------JoeG

I guess in order to make that ever so important 1st impression, you want people to see those shiny shoes as you step out of that Yenko.
