All you Sox fans have to remember that the Curse is far from over. Just because your team made it to the World Series does not mean the Babe is rolling in his grave.
May the best team win. I am excited to see the results. ![]()

Nobody is a better example of a 100% pure pro ballplayer than Derek Jeter, and not even Ralph Lauren himself could ever design a better-looking pinstriped suit. The Yankees ARE babeball. But let us have our fun. You will live to see many more World Series games with the Bronx Bombers- we will be lucky just to see a few more. There is no such thing as "The Curse" -- it is all in good fun and part of baseball lore. You have to understand how exciting it is for ANY team and their fans to beat the Yankees. (Minor case in point: how will NY fans feel on Sunday if the Jets beat the 20-straight-game-winning, Super Bowl Champion N.E. Patriots?) ![]() ![]() Of course I hope "the curse is broken." The Curse has always been more about the nemesis that is the NY Yankees - moreso than any World Series victory. But I agree that the "actual" definition of "The Curse" is the 1918-??? run of no championships for Boston. Wish us luck. Steinbrenner will spend another $185,000,000 next year and you'll be right back in step again! ![]() Mac

Mac -- In no way shape or form am I trying to take away from your Bo Sox right now. They simply out played the Yankees -- The Yankees did not deserve to win. I still cannot believe that Johnny Damond was 3/29 in ALCS and walked off with a grand slam and a two run shot -- its mind boggling!
However, I think it is very to be a Yankee fan. The team has surreal funding, a history of outstanding players, and a coaching/management staff has the master the science of winning -- hence the 26 world championships. But on the other hand, it is also very easy to hate the Yankees. But this losing series has also proved that the Yankees are not unbeatable. The Bo Sox did rock the Yankees in the regular season, and most likely will continue to do so well into the future. I am sorry if I stole your light. No harm intended. I guess we can pick up on the sports talk Sunday night. Go Jets! ![]() ![]()
