speaking of backyard finds....this "little fella" followed me home the other week. 72 454 4 speed w/ 30k, has 840 heads and 569 intake all other numbers matching. I have known the car and most of the history since 1985..just a shame that it has sat so long.
Still trying to convince the Mrs. that I'm storing it for a "friend"...thats my story...and I'm sticking to it.

Here's a link to pictures, before I brought it home and cleaned all the crap out of it.

I was also told the owner had some kind of valve/head issue and these heads and intake were the mechanics solution!! My cousin owned the car from 84-86..I rememer sitting in it in his garage at @15 years old...back then the car and its interior truely reflected the mileage and just needed to be repaired and repainted. Cousin then sold it to a mutual friend, who has let it sit outside, mostly uncovered ever since. Now it needs a full frame off...Oh, if I could have convinced my father to buy it for me back then

"were" should have been "work" That was in fact a work generated error, I try to make it quick when sneeking on at work. The one good thing is you don't have to worry about body rust, on a steel car the floor boards would be toast. Hopefully the frame wasn't too far in the dirt.
