How about a 73 Formula 400? Owner doesn't intend to sell, and will make good on his offer to restore it someday. Plans are an aluminum pontiac motor-- 468 to be exact. He's got some pretty good heads too that are on it now, #16's from a '68 428. Been in storage for 2 years after busting the cam and bending some valves.

if its in a safe dry place as it appears to be more power to him, but as for those people who just let cars rot that could otherwise be restored there is a muscle car hell for them somewhere

I love those Formula hoods...I looked at a blue Formula when I was living in Nashville. I had to drive by it every day going to school/work, and one day I finally stopped and gave it the once over...cool cars.

Mine was a '69 Firebird. Original owner parked in 1976 because of a bad starter. Carefully kept it tarped outside which caused the vinyl to stay damp and eat the roof. Second owner bought it from him and also couldn't figure out the starter (bracket was too tough)! I removed the starter and had it running in a week. It's a nice original car that I can hopefully save (quarters and bits of the floorpan are gone too) sad that no one took the time to fix it...neat that the chrome slotted steel mags had TUBES in them and the Sun tach still looks good!

Around here rotting and not for sale?
1972 SS 350 Camaro, not for sale and has finally sunk past the rockers, "I'm gonna restore it someday." Got chased off last time by an irate wife and weiner dog! Probably no longer repairable.

1970 RS/SS 350 camaro in a junkyard, asking price $2750, seized engine, no floorpans, no rockers, interior water damaged beyond belief would break in two if you tried to move it...was driven in and used to be a solid car.

1968 SS 396 same yard asking $6500, same condition except it's only a shell and the roof's caved in.

Three Mustangs, 1967, 1968, and 1969 Fastbacks. All are to be restored, he bought them ten years ago and is keeping them because he won't be able to afford to buy them later...too bad he can't turn a wrench (has his work done at a garage) or figure out what damp soil under the cars does to them (garage too full of old newspapers), Will NEVER be restored or sold, they'll be hauled off as scrap metal after he dies.
