Sorry about the delay in responding I am away on vacation
and had trouble posting on this site for some reason last few days.
I have been looking for a 70 nova SS big block L78 4 speed to either build or buy one built. I have been looking and watching for one. I saw the one at the dealership in Ontario, I do not want a car that has many repro parts especialy for alost 100.000.00 Canadian I realize that a clone is selling for good money however Im not interested in a clone but rather a good restorable Nova with many origional parts or one that has been restored with its origional parts.I recently read a thread on this site and remember the person saying that a 70 BB Nova at the Barret Jackson had a hard time reaching 40 US, I will be watching for that auction too.i saw the green yenko on ebay and it did not reach the reserve it was bid up to the high 40s.So if a yenko did not reach the 50 s then would you say that the big block Nova in Ontario is worth in the 90 s Not in a snow balls chance in hell at least thats my opinion.
Thank you for all your help

A core BB #'s car will cost at least 20-25k depending upon condition. Low mileage original cars with lots of paperwork are "like the VISA commercial, priceless". If you buy an original car that needs a resto you will spend 30-40k to get it done correctly. Now everyone has there own measuring gauge of what is correct and who does the best work, etc. etc. All that doesn't change the bottom line: a #'s correct frame off restored L78 Nova will cost real money, CDN or US.

While at a carshow some years ago, there was a "Sirvyver" 1970 L78 Black Nova in attendance. The original owner was an old man,his 30ish son standing next to him. This thing was nice!
All Black Lacquer, all original with docs, 4-speed,headers the biggest deviation from stock,as he was the only owner. He was among restored cars,& no one gave his Nova a second look, but I did.I took his name & number & pix & contacted him years later.I found out his Dad died,& now the son owns the car.I visited him as he lives here, but has since moved.I have his name & am trying to locate him.Just to get pix of the car now & share with all here.It really is something to see.
