Yenko blocks if i'm not mistaken on this, only had YENKO on them. I never saw a crested block like that one. Also, yenko blocks had freeze plugs where the ZL1's had the 1/2 inch drive screw type plugs. Hope this helped!

I believe the Yenko blocks were a Baskin-Robbins kinda deal, lotsa flavors...short deck or tall deck, press-in or screw-in freeze plugs, Yenko crest or lettering...not sure on the '97 cast date, that's kinda screwy, especially with the crest.

That wouldn't happen to be the ZL 1 block that was for sale at carlisle a few years back? I remember seeing a 427 aluminum block with the yenko crest on it. Big dollars. I saw the motor for sale there a couple of times. If I remember Marlin was with me. Not sure what the castings were.

This Yenko-block was bought in Texas in 1984, according to the German guy that bought it. It has screw-in type freeze plugs, and the crest.
