Thanks for the kind words. I have already pulled the 283 and had the cylinders sleeved( it ended up being 2). I had a fresh small block in the garage that I put in just to make the car a runner until I get time to play with it. The original 283 still had all the crayon markings etc. on the side of the block. I'm going to try to get away with doing as little as possible to it since it all is in great shape already. I plan on doing an underhood detail when installing the original engine. Then I will strip the car and paint it. Besides that it really doesn't need much.

'65s are the best looking of the early Chevy II series, IMO. I had a '64 non-SS hardtop in college in the '80s and it ran like a champ (see pic--1985). Bought it from an elderly neighbor and the car had its original black CA plates. All it needed was a quart of 30-weight every 500 miles or so. Sold it in 1987 for $1200.

The name of the color is Glacier Grey. It is a light greyish blue. I think it was called Glacier Blue in later years.

Jason,

Nice Nova and a good original color. Wow, $3900 new. My '64 only cost $2375 new. Hmm... I was always turned off by the "bug-eyed" front end, but the '65s have grown on me. Hey, how about a pic of your cowl tag so I can see your seatbelt code and other accessories? Which belts do you have?

Paul
