The body number is the GM order number assigned when the order was accepted. GM could have built the car the next day, or 3 months later depending on the availability of components. As a result body number jump all over the place when compared to the VINs. The tag mentioned in this thread is real, and it went thru Ebay about a year ago, and it didn't have a chunk of firewall attached to it then. |
