Default M&H Slicks

Do you guys know what a set of M&H Slicks are worth? The steel wheels are included. I think they said Race Master on the sides. Thanks Kelly

Thanks Guys, I can buy them for $500 plus shipping. I think that seems pretty fair. Do they make these anymore?

They no longer make the ones pictured. Those are '69-'70-'71 vintage. Those brought that kind of money because they are new (old).

You are not stealing them at $500.00. But if you need them.....go for it! Once they are mounted and hit the asphalt they are no longer NOS in my opinion. Very nice tires and the ones everybody used in those days!

Sam, you raise a valid point. I have no idea what condition the slicks are in that Parnelli is looking at, but those that I pictured are (were) brand new.

I feel that anyone who puts those on his car has the right to say they are NOS. That separates them from something used by someone else. Knowing that this was the first time they were ever mounted on wheels is something special. It's no different than someone who finds an NOS intake manifold, puts it on his car and drives to a show. I think he has the right to say that it's "NOS". Sure, it's not still in the box, never having fuel or water in it, but it was brand new to that car. If a guy is lucky enough to find an NOS set of mags for his car, I feel he has the right to point to them on the car and say "they're NOS". That's just my view anyway.

Or perhaps one could say, "that was NOS". Now, if the guy wants to do a burn-out and scrub off the original shipping labels, that's up to him, but they're still "new".
No argument, just a comment.

What size are they? That would play a big factor, as I have yet to see any size mentioned for any of these... I wanted a pair of 14" ones that would fit under the fenders of a stock Nova using stock 7" wide XT wheels. They are like hen's teeth to find compared to larger ones. Seems any 14" vintage slick is a tough find.

Joe,
Those are 7.10-30.5 x 15" 130 compound.

If you're looking for a set of period 14s, I probably have some, and I planned to sell them. I just have to dig them out and see exactly what's there.
