There was one of these fastback Novas for sale in Hemmings for 50K in the Performance cars/Racing section for about a year before it disappeared back in the early 90's.

The Allen Green car was in Hemmings around '98-'99 for $45k, but I don't know where it went after that.

Seems at least two of them survive, as at York I spoke with two different folks about the fast back Novas. One was friends with an owner, and the other guy's father was restoring one.

Platt's car was for sale in Drag News in the late 60's, may have been totalled later on - not sure.

The cKc car exists - in PA no less

Here's a Super Stock magazine that looks like it has an article on one of the fastback cars and some other early Chevy II drag stuff, judging by the cover headlines (check the last two headlines- Doug's Headers Injected Chevy II and Texas Nova Fastback).

Was doing a search on the internet tonight on articles about my dad, Dick Milner. He was the driver for the Alan Green Chevy II Fastback here in the Northwest (the green colored car). Only 3 of these cars were made. My brother actually told me today that one of the cars burnt to the ground, another crashed and my dad's car was bought by a friend of ours, Gordon Apker. Apker has since sold it but my dad knows where it still is.

After the Fastback, my dad drove Alan Green's 63' Impala Z-11. Hotwheels (or some type of toy manafacturer did a toy car of it) and that car was bought by Don Fezell back East and my dad went to a reunion and drove it again.

I was searching the internet tonight because my dad is turning 70 on Friday and was looking for things on him. It's so awesome to see these cars still talked about- and him! There's been many articles as of late that he's been in.

If anyone has any questions for him, feel free to ask. I can pass this along to him.

Happy 70th Dad!!

Meagan

Also wanted to mention that if you do a Google search on the car there's an article that Apker wrote after he bought it. It actually broke my dad's and his long time friendship as the article lacked much truth and my dad confronted him about it.

At my dad's party this weekend Larry Webb will hopefully make it to celebrate. He worked on the engine with my dad.

Does anyone remember Jerry "The King" Ruth? He'll be here too. It'll be fun to see my dad with his old buddies, as he's stayed in touch with them and is still very much involved with drag racing...if only he had put me in a car when I was younger instead of my brother...
