That's right and they're still there. It's the family's last name. What a laugh the first time seeing it as a kid. Still laughing.

We had a substitute teacher in high school - Mr. Bates. Of course, we all referred to him as Master Bates.

There was this really hot officer at Ft Benning - Major Beavers. When I was introduced to her, "Scott, this is Major Beavers," it was all I could do to keep from saying, "Yes, she certainly is..."

There was a music teacher in high school with the name Mike Hunt. They used to call for him all the time over the intercom.
